while that may be true, I bet with just a little searching one could find pictures and news articles that would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that one should not ride in (or on) airplanes, trains, cars, trucks, BIG trucks, bicycles, horses, motorcycles, camels, donkeys, bulls, tricycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, 3-wheeled ATVs, boats, you name it, the pictures and stories are out there!

I am surprised that you still see people riding in TT's. and fifth wheels. Beside being illegal it is just plain idiotic. I am also surprised that it is not illegal to ride in the back of a truck camper i Ontario.

If you ride in a motor home do they not have seatbelts on the sofa etc. Do they have them in truck campers?

We have had 4 accidents in the past month on I81 involving travel trailers. There were not enough of them left to tell if they were fifth wheels or tts.

It is illegal in many states to ride in travel trailers while traveling.....ours for one.

Speed is your enemy.

While speed is an enemy, other drivers that cut you off and do stupid stuff are a big cause of TT crashes. Another reason not to push the tow limits of your TV.

While it isn’t possible to say with any certainty what happen or caused this, it’s safe to assume with both vehicles overturned that severe sway immediately preceded the accident…
I think we will see a lot more of this due to longer trailers and to short wheelbase high center of gravity SUV type TV’s…
As they build them lighter people just buy them longer and pull them with smaller TV’s…

Pretty common for a 1/2 ton short wheel base SUV towing a TT.
Not enough TV to handle the TT and keep it from swaying, fish tailing and turning over.

Yep. Those kind of comments indicate an extremely low IQ. I only have to drive a couple miles from my house for dozens of examples why only a true idiot would ride in a car or pickup truck. Just this past week someone died locally... in a car. Today I witnessed a head on collision. Fortunately the vehicle coming the other way saw it coming and stopped. The SUV only had damage to the bumper and the lower panel that I could see, while the sport car I would not be surprised if it will be totaled.
