roof edge repair

Question

The previous owner of my TH must have scraped the edge against something. I am trying to fix/repair it. It appears that he tried to patch a section with what might be a piece of rubber roofing which is now lose at the edge (see pic). Any ideas of how to approach this repair are appreciated.

Eternabond..... Do a quick Google search.The stuff that is on your trailer gets ugly very quickly.(No need to ask how I know that)You can buy it in various lengths and widths

X2 on the Eternabond. Just make sure you follow the directions to the letter (clean, clean, clean)  and it will last the life of the roof.

looks like he used a ladder to climb onto the roof and the ladder tore the roofing at the bend.

Looks like that will do the job but as it has to lap over the edge will it adhere to the metal is has to contact?Also does the piece peeling up look like it was eternabond or some other material?
