On our first TT the vent cover fell / blew off at about 10PM one night at a FL campground. Rain predicted so I started looking for a ladder. No one in sight. Went to the maintenance shed and borrowed one without permission, no one to ask. Duct taped it up. This cover was about 5 years old.
I now am a firm believer in covers over the cover to protect them.
