The sun can destroy a cheap one in a year. Luckily mine failed during a sunny period without any further damage. Max Aires since then with no further problems.
As the OP has been on here 16 years or so I don't think anybody is going to chase him away. I am surprised that the topic was never noticed before.
Kids, sometimes the truth just needs to be stated bluntly. Sometimes it may appear snarky, so be it. This forum is not crime stopper. If they want in a screwdriver pops the door in 2 seconds, 5 seconds if you locked the dead bolt.
