Forum Discussion
I'm part of several non-RV related forums in addition to this one. Every Internet forum has it's own set of "Internet Tough Guys". Those who sit anonymously behind their keyboards and bully/ridicule people.
This forum has a select group of what "appears" to be cranky old guys, who feel their way is the only way.
In most forums, there's also a tendency to be intolerant of newbies who join up and jump in with questions that have been discussed 1,000 times before, without first doing some research. you'll notice those threads quickly spiral out of control, every time. (Walmart overnighting, black tank, dog poop, are a few that come to mind).
This is a FREE forum on the internet and requires a fairly thick skin. Campers are made up of a wide cross-section of individuals, so you're going to encounter all kinds in here.
If you want to fight, jump to the Mexico forum and tell them why you might be petrified of traveling south of the border. They'll attack like you fire-ants. LOL!!!

Over the past several months, I have noticed that if someone asks for OPINIONS on an item, there has to be at least one or two members that wait for several opinions to be posted and then begins to SLAM at least one poster. It's gotten so bad that I am reluctant to express my opinion on anything.
Therefore, it's time for me to depart from this site. I have found it very, very useful, but I refuse to be made feel to feel like I am stupid because of my opinion.
Thanks for all the help that you have given me over the past decade or so, but I'm not hanging around any longer.
