Run A/C when in storage?

I would run them and a dehumidifier. The interior and appliances etc will appreciate it.
Someone will check it every so often, won't they?
One ,of our Neighbors didn't park it in Florida but covered his. The heat and humidity made the plastics bend and sag, and I believe even the wall covering. It's been a while. that's probably extreme.
Florida, near the coast, in summer is mean.

IMHO I wouldn't leave an ac running unattended in Florida. It can freeze up in a heartbeat in Florida's humid weather and could cause an electrical fire etc. For me not worth taking the chance.

There are hundreds and hundreds of RV's for sale on dealers lots here and trust me they don't run the ac units on them while they sit on the lots waiting to be sold! And none of them have warped up to the sun god's!:W

I like the idea of running the A/C to prevent the compressor from seizing, and doing that every few weeks. However, a de-humidifier with its drain hose in a sink or bathtub is the ideal solution, perhaps with the grey water tank valve open, and a piece of screening covering the sewer discharge so mice and other critters can't go in there.

I've never been to Florida. But, this sounds like a cheaper, easier, idea then running you expensive RV AC all summer long.

I run the AC at 85 in the summer and the heat at 40 in the winter - so far, so good.

I set ours to 87 in summer, 80 in winter, no problems in 10 years

I sure would. I run mine whenever it starts to get super hot/humid here in North Carolina.

Power available and your humidity, I would.

I live in Vermont and I have never had the need to worry about dampness and warping.
