The buyer always pays the commission in real estate (boats too), transactions. The Realtors would have you believe the seller pays the commission, as an inducement to use their services, but the only person putting money into the deal is the buyer. The seller determines how much they will walk away with and that will always include commission and other miscellaneous costs which ultimately are paid in full buy the buyer.
