To the OP:
Are you sure that the seat belts are attached only to the dinette wood??
If so this would be real strange, if not illegal, in most or all states ... let along maybe illegal on a Federal level.
Our Class C motorhome has wood dinette seats too ... but the seat belts for the dinette go way down and are fastened through the flooring into some steel framing.
