The "cheap, direct to the consumer" model doesn't work for RVs. Demand would be high forcing higher quantity, lower quality and you're right back where you started. And where would you get service? No competitor dealer would touch it. There are direct to consumer RV brands but they're very pricey and long wait times. Newell, various Prevost brands etc. But prices new start at $2 mil +. You'll find a few mom and pop shops doing bus conversions but they're few and far between and you're still challenged with warranty and service, especially away from home. And none of the above solve for depreciation. RVs, boats, cars etc are all depreciating assets. There are very few appreciating assets like a home and you still have to price and time that right.
