RV fireplace vs 1500 watt electric heater

We are sitting around the fire at home and started talking about RV fireplaces and weather they are any better than a 1500 watt cube heater, We have the space ( just lose a shelf and have to move the woofer. For those that have both,what do you think?

I would rather save the space and money. The 1500 watt heater is portable, can be moved into the bathroom when needed, and only cost $15 at Wal Mart (priced one today). .

Yet the fireplace is more romantic, and if that is needed then it will help keep you warm at night, go for it!

Buy the same watt cube heater for $25 and put a "fire" DVD in the TV to watch and money in your pocket saved.
