Our coach is parked next to our cottage when were there, and is always near ready to travel. In colder weather, we do winterize it, but we also keep a supply of gallon water jugs and a bin of canned foods at the ready in the cottage. We can be on the road in about 20 minutes if necessary. We haven't had to outrun any storms yet, but we have sheltered in place in the coach for 3 or 4 days following a storm while the power was out. The coach generator keeps us happy, as well as the fridge and freezer in the cottage. The coach has also served us well as living quarters while we're remodeling the cottage interior. Sometimes we live in it at the cottage for days at a time just because we feel like it.
