Always keep ours ready to go. I keep the 100 diesel tank full and the cabinets full of can goods and other supplies . Why not keep it ready to go ? In the winter time I keep food and stuff in totes so all I need to do is put them in the RV and go. One thing I bought is a small gas generator from Harbor Freight for $89 (on sale) it works great for lights, refrigerator and to recharge equipment. I can run for about 5 plus hours on a gallon of gas. You will not run any that pulls more than 900 watts. My 7500 diesel generator runs off my fuel tanks so I just wanted a back up for the lights and refrigerator . Just a FYI run 93 gas in it and change the spark plug to a better plug.
