I am lucky, I guess. I retired last year and dont really have to go anywhere. Not much rving in that, but on the other hand, not spending hundreds of dollars on fuel, either. We shall wait it out and see what gives.
I hate to say it but it looks like it takes serious problems to make governments act. The dems are married to the environmental movement and the coastal crowd. I say, explore for oil but in a responsible manner with enforced cleanups. Capture coal pollution. Make synthetic oil from coal. Build more nuclear plants.
It can be done, but in reality, not for 10 years or so. I have to guess most of Congress likes high prices and reduced driving.
