The diesel I was referring to is the small fuel injected ones in German passenger cars that have gotten so much news lately. You Volt was highly researched to the tune of $2.5 BILLION. You remember it was said to be the savior of GM. I know that the new large diesels for over the road trucks have made huge strides lately. The super RV IKON Renegade is reported to get 9.7 mpg at 45,000 pounds. Research is the key. I have many miles myself on an EV, 18 holes at a time.
