We have one station in town that is consistently about $0.30 cheaper than the rest. I can always gauge how high gas prices are by how long the line there is. Lately the line has been out the street!
How far would you go out of your way to save 30 cents/gallon?
How much cheaper per gallon would it take for you to go out of your way and drive to another station?
Personally I'm able to hit it at off peak hours (it's a 24hr station), but I'd still wait in line if I needed to, just for the principle of supporting a station that is a little under market. Plus, you know it's good fresh gas. :B
There's a station within sight of it that is as of this morning $0.40 higher, and there were two cars filling up there. I was wondering, are they in a hurry, or do they have a company gas card and just don't care how much it costs?
