Perhaps some places, not all. Here in the Northwest a milestone was reached for a time cecently, more wind power used than hydro power in the Bonneville power administration system. Here is the graph below:

This is good since river flows are low this time of year.
Again, having diversified energy sources keeps fuel costs down for us Rvers.
