We have spent a lot of time in the Dakotas and they are very, very pretty. There is a great degree of independence and self reliance. We were in South Dakota so long and my wife ate so many buffalo burgers, she started to develop a hump on her back. We lived in Portage, MI for 5 years and it is totally different. I just read today that fracking taxes are adding over $60 BILLION a year to taxes directly and double that in indirect taxes (like from the employees).
