After the oil companies have extracted the oil they will pickup their winnings and go on to the next group of suckers to extract their resources. ND will be left behind with all the problems and no money to pay for the cleanup.
The only ND jobs anyone talks about are burger flippers and bottle washers, and I don't know one businessman who has moved from CA to ND.
The skilled workers for the oil fields are gypsies who have their homes in Idaho, Arkansas, Wyoming, etc., where they have their permanent family homes, well away from the industrial mess. They move temporarily with motorhomes or stay in "Extended Stay" motels.
