The oil in the Bakken field and the NG counterpart are indigenous energy resources providing well paying US jobs. it can be left in the ground and not provide the jobs. Everything is a worldwide resource. Should food not be grown because it too is exported?
People have been relocating since time began for work. My grandparents fled their homeland. No work in California you go to where the work is. Work does not come to you but rather you go to it.

Rape The Earth? My advice is move into a cave, do not build a fire and enjoy yourself. I'll turn up the thermostat with NG from fracking and drive an automobile.
