They do not meet the EPA polutions standards. The 8.1 L standards. Workhorse also went belly up. The only America gasoline engine being produced for RV's is the Ford V-10. I had a Chevy 464 for years and now have the 8.1 L and they are both good engines in my opinion. The EPA has continued to lower pollution standards. If you have Workhorse brakes, you need to be sure you have the new, redesigned calipers. The old design ones are very dangerous. Navistar bought the remains of Workhorse, but I do not know if they are still responsible for the government mandated brake recall. Your dealer was obligated to check on this. You should check with them to be sure. I lost my brakes on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Brakes are a much bigger problem that a new pollution standard that was all of a sudden no longer any good.
