Let's not forget the impact governments, plural, have on the price of gas/diesel. It's substantial. This blend here, that blend there. Ain't no free lunch. Not to mention how they screw with the refineries themselves. Oil is a third cheaper than a few years ago. But the retail prices are roughly the same as back then. And now EPA wants 15% ethanol, to heck with what it does to the engines and the starving children around the world for whom the price of grain rises even more. Government, the fed one, is just swell.
