Environmentalist hate fracking and this is well known. They hate it because it reduces the price of fossil fuels (NG is now selling at 1/3 of it's previous cost) and makes the spread between fossil fuels and alternatives even wider. They want fossil fuels to be very expensive. This is well known. If you think environmentalist are going to be embracing GE for their entry into the fracking picture, then you are sadly mistaken and anybody understanding the subject knows this also.
