a rather nice occurrence that pretty much ended with the first
phoney oil crisis in 73.
the normal price of a gallon of regular stayed about 25.9 cents
then every couple months or so a "GAS War" would drop the
price to 19.9 cents a gallon for about a week.
and the truck or taxi discount took another 2 cents off of that !:)
