Alternatives have a 70 to 1 advantage over fossil fuels for subsidies in electrical generation. Making fossil fuels is not the answer. We need to make alternatives cheaper, not make fossil fuels more expensive. Research is needed. Building demonstration projects with political cronies is not the answer. Giving taxpayer subsidized, half off leases for vehicles people won't actually buy, isn't the answer either.
