Read several interesting articles this morning about oil prices. These articles mentioned Saudi Arabia, Iran, OPEC, oil company lobby in Washington D.C., etc.. Supply and demand was very lightly touched. Who would've guessed :R.
One article talked about mineral legislation still on the books from the early 1900's. One would think that these laws should be examined post-haste and either abolished or modified to fit the current times. Gee, I wonder if the oil company lobby has put $$ in certain pockets in Congress to ignore visiting these laws.
Well, anyway, after the rapid increase in gasoline costs up here, prices are moving downward by centimeters (love the metric system). One station will "drop" it's prices by a penny and the rest will follow over many days. I know, I know, they are conditioning us to expect increasingly higher and higher "base" prices. Of course, with Ben continuing to print $$, the dollar is worth less and less which leads to higher consumer costs.
