Our local prices are only one or two pennies away from that magical $3.00 mark. By Thanksgiving we should be below that mark. Diesel, of course, is 50-60ยข a gallon more.
I am surprised diesel continues at a premium as many trucks move to natural gas.
Maybe it will take another 3 to 5 years for the long haul trucks to begin the switch in earnest. I believe it is mostly just local fleets for now.
