The park was a KOA and was destroyed in Hurricane Charlie. It was taken back by the bank and many of the long term renters bought the park and own individual sites and a piece of the common areas (condo method). Prices started at $15,000 and got up to about $60,000 for the waterfront sites. They fell drastically with the boom. I have stayed there many times. About half the owners are retirees from the auto industry. Many people own multiple sites and rent out to snowbirds to cover all expenses. Airplanes are mainly on the weekend.
