We have been shipping highly volatile factions from the Midwest to Canada for mixing with their surface oil to lower the viscosity since the days of Richard Nixon. Contrary is what has been said on this board repeatedly, this is the only oil exported in the last 40 years. Only a small portion of the US oil fits into this category. Its is called dilution oil. This is the best use for this type if highly shale oil. This Texas oil is not crude oil and goes through a distillation process. It will make good fodder for the environmentalist wacko blogs though. If somebody doesn't agree with it and thinks affects prices, they should write the people mentioned in the first sentence of the article. (The Obama Administration). This highly volatile product is sold at a premium as it makes the foreign heavy oil more usable and is a win win for both buyer and seller.
