With fuel prices down ($2.75 here in Rhode Island) and Prices sure to rise by springtime, is there any reason I shouldn't fill my tank now, and keep it full through the winter? Are there any Precautions I should take?
I'm fairly certain it's always a good idea to leave a vehicle with the fuel tank full. Less chance for condensation to build up even though it's fairly air tight. I have a few vintage vehicles that don't get driven very often, some sit for half a year or more and I personally never have issues with fuel going bad. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I tend to think people worry just a bit much when they use fuel preservatives. All the best, Hans
