If you go to www.gasbuddy.com put you pointer on gas maps prices then click on map gas prices. turn wheel fore or aft to bring states into view. Keep turning until you see the state you want. Keep turning till you see the area you want to check fuel prices for gas.
thanks, I knew I could do it with several steps. what I would like is a quick glance at a map and could see what lies ahead of me. Perhaps I would skip Florida, etc.

Keep turning till you see the area you want to check fuel prices for gas. - SRTExplorerOne station has posted a price of $3.69. Many of the rest are at $3.59. Plus oil has moved up in price. Wonder if $4.00 gasoline prices are in our future?
- BumpyroadExplorerdue to the sometimes extreme differences in fuel costs between states, I think it would be nice if some organization would post a map of the US similar to the one in our signatures with states identified in green, yellow, and red, based on average comparative costs of gas/diesel. Yes I know one could research gas buddy, etc. but I would like to be able to look at a map and be able to skip the red states and at least fuel up in a yellow one, etc.
I remember years back I stopped in Florida in route to Brunswick, GA, and got hammered on the price of gasoline that would have been much less in GA. had I waited or only filled up enough to get me there.

Remember in Detroit, things cost more because they have to have armed guards everywhere.
I worked for a consulting firm there a few years back. Only place where the car rental companies had, small, medium, large, and armored cars to chose among.

Bump there were plenty of stations back then that got well over $4.75 for diesel!
I had to look hard for a lesser price in May of that year. - BumpyroadExploreryou were taken at $5.00. at least according to govt. figures the median price of diesel was, 2011- 3.84; 2010- 2.99 ; 2009- 2.46; 2008- 3.30; 2007-2.88; 2006-2.70.

Yesterday I filled up the 7.3 at $3.599, the lowest price I've paid since I can remember. And I was happy. Isn't that just sick!?! :o
Let's seen in 2008 in June I was paying $5.00 for diesel in many parts of the west.
Here it is 5 years later and you paid $3.59............ Break out the band!
When I retired in 2006 I used $5.00 for fuel even then as a benchmark for our vacations and stuff when doing the math for the long haul of retirement! - cekkkExplorerYesterday I filled up the 7.3 at $3.599, the lowest price I've paid since I can remember. And I was happy. Isn't that just sick!?! :o
