- SRTExplorerWell, here it is the 3rd of July and gas prices have not increased for the 4th. Ya don't suppose that there is some "slack" in the system???
- LindsayRichardsExplorerMost of the new natural gas engines are either 12 or 15 liter. 70% of the nations trash haulers and 50% of the nations metropolitan buses use these new engines. They are still very rare in the personal transportation. If they were more common, I'd have one with a compressor and tank to use from my piped in natural gas.
- Pop-Pop_CExplorerOur first trip to In. And MI. did not know about the difference in price btw.
"AUTO" diesel and the truck pumps. Cannot fuel at the big rig pumps at eithe
Pilot or Loves. Won't even hold your card and let you fuel. Have been cal.- Fl. And Tx to
Mt. And this the first time I have experience this. Price is a out $.25-$.30 more for a RV. - tomman58ExplorerDrove by a gas staton today ........... gas is down to 3.45. Great news if I was still getting 20 mpg but now I get around 250mpg. I did use .15 gallon of fuel today ... I think that equates to $0.23, LOL
- LindsayRichardsExplorerOnce again, the conversions d not work well. Cummings Westport makes engines especially designed for natural gas. I didn't realize a pawn shop would take your EBT card.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerShell Oil has also started setting up an East to West network of LNG and CNG. This now makes 3 companies doing this Freightliner is starting to build natural gas over the road trucks utilizing the Cummings Westport engines. Penski has ordered 400 of them for their fleet. This is starting to take off. The $1.50 diesel equivalent gallon is really hard to ignore.

Several stations around here have been the price leaders for lowering their prices. Down another penny to $3.33 a gallon. Should be interesting as we get closer to the 4th of July.
That's down a quarter or more for your area since you posted 6/20! Great. But our Colorado dealers won't give up a penny without a fight. Still 3.50 to even 3.75 at one Shell. And I always remind myself that the unleaded we get served up as "regular" is only 85 octane. So add another ten or 12 cents to any comparison with most other states. :M - LindsayRichardsExplorerIf the store wasn't making money from you they wouldn't have sold it. I am pretty sure that after you left, they had a big laugh. Businesses do not sell below costs and allow for CC charges. If they do, they don't last long. They have the advantage in knowing what they have in it. They love having people think they beat up the store. I think I saw that set on that Deetroit Pawn show? What color naugahyde was it?

was at an electrical supplies place yesterday and they had a sign posted that said that they would add 3% for any order over $250 that was on a credit card.

While I am not sure that is good for business but I do know how the CC fees merchants pay bites hard. We have our highest fees (reward cards) down to 3.5% charge by the bank and we are eating it even if it is our profit margin. Buyers are hard to find and 96.5% of something is still more than 100% of ZERO.
