- Desert_CaptainExplorer IIIWe are visiting San Diego this week and rgular is over $4, as much as $4.30 a gallon at some stations. Best price I have seen is $4.04. That's a long way from the $3.35 I paid when we left Tucson. :E

Would a flat tax with NO exemptions work? Being in a blue state I feel I'm TEA!
Our local gasoline prices are still holding steady at $3.65 to $3.69 a gallon. The oil price is $108.47. This is only 5¢ cheaper than the usually more expensive Brent Crude. - BumpyroadExplorerPerhaps somebody should start a movement if they feel that they are Taxed Enough Already?
bumpy - Greydog_1ExplorerI cringe every time Congress gets a bright idea to raise taxes on oil profits. It is us that pay the damn things, not the oil groups. LR is correct on that, and I wish some one who can deal with demented Congress would get the idea spread to its members about it. We don't need new taxes to the oil globs.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerAnybody looking at the situation knows that in the final analysis, the consumer pays all the taxes. Raise taxes on oil, the people buying gas, plastics, and many consumer goods pick up the taxes. Raise the tax on peanuts, the people buying peanut butter end of paying the increased taxes. This is the way things work.

1.27/liter? - SRTExplorerYikes!! Oil is up to $108.xx a barrel this morning. Looks like as this price increase works it's way through the system the gasoline prices will continue their climb towards $4.00 a gallon.
Our local gasoline prices are still hovering at $3.66 to $3.69 a gallon. Diesel prices are mostly at $3.78 to $3.79 with one lone station at $3.99. - John___AngelaExplorerFilled up the smart car with diesel today. 1.27 with four cent cash back on the groceries.
