- Greydog_1ExplorerOil workers on strike at several refineries and it's spreading. We can now expect rising costs to consumers at any moment. This is week one of strike.

I just noticed on "gas buddy" that some stations offer two prices. Cash or credit card. Is this common all over U.S. We're heading down in a week.
Yep, we have had a 2 price thing for some time. Just forget the low price unless you want to carry around a gob of money. Now that prices are lower I've seen some stations with both prices the same an hoping this is a trend. - ivbinconnedExplorer III just noticed on "gas buddy" that some stations offer two prices. Washington has one of the highest fuel taxes in the US, so our numbers tend to be higher. A couple of days ago, our local Safeway was selling regular for $1.999. A small convenience store 20 miles away had $1.669 on their display. Sure beats the $4.59 we paid t a couple of small towns on the Oregon Coast last spring!
Just a little chuckle on that!
We spent the week between Christmas and new years on the Oregon Coast at South beach SP. We left Portland with 3/4 of a tank of diesel and full propane. Well with all the running around, and keeping warm in the fiver, we needed Fuel and Propane. While Diesel in the Portland are was as low as $2.69, Propane was $2.70 at best.
We paid $3.44 for the diesel, and $2.40 for propane.
