So what new information do you possess? Provide reference links...
You posted an ancient link as being factual. This is a quickly moving subject. I asked you if you had real, current information. Up to you to provide it.
18 months old...not ancient. I would expect that the Colorado Geological Survey would update their website if they have newer information.
Your asserting that conversion of kerogen to crude oil is a quickly moving subject is pure conjecture, you have provided no evidence. As the Colorado Geological Survey website says, companies have been trying to turn the kerogen to crude oil for 100 years, with no demonstrated commercial volumes.
If Shell had demonstrated the production of commercial quantities of crude oil from kerogen, and was ready to begin volume production. I expect it would be all over the news.
Since you asserted that the conversion of kerogen to crude oil is a quickly moving subject, the burden is upon you to provide the evidence. - LindsayRichardsExplorer

The $90 BILLION in loan guarantees from the Dept. of Energy is well documented and has been in the news repeatedly. Have you never heard of Solendra and ABC batteries bankruptcies? That was part of the taxpayer money. - FezziwigExplorerLindsay: there was no $90billion. That was a story invented by Romney on the spot.

So we didn't get too much for our $90 BILLION?

Good grief! Oil at 16,000 feet! Who would give a care about it? Not this governemnt, not in the future of America.
Oh, wait. North Dakota. Two years ago.
First thing I thought of when I read your post was the first head of the Patent Office who famously said, everything worth inventing has already been invented. I looked that up to find his name, (Charles H. Duell, Patent Commissioner, 1899) and found these cuties, just for a laugh.
1. "Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible."
LOrd Kelvin, President, Royal Society
2. "Stocks have reached what look like a premanently high plateau."

No offense intended, I say plenty of dumb stuff myself. Just some fun stuff. - LindsayRichardsExplorer
