- BumpyroadExplorerwas at an electrical supplies place yesterday and they had a sign posted that said that they would add 3% for any order over $250 that was on a credit card.
bumpy - LindsayRichardsExplorerOnce again, no matter what the business model, every business get charged for their customers using a credit card. All businesses pass it along to their customers. They do it in different ways. Some ways you know you are paying it and some ways the fact that you are paying it isn't obvious. Most smart customers realize that they are paying for it just like they are paying for sellers light bill. There is no such thing as a free lunch. They make a lots more money on the inside goods.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerJuly 4th has traditionally been a high travel time and higher prices.
- SRTExplorerI see that oil prices are around $96.xx a barrel. Seems the price drops to around $93.xx. Then goes up to around $97.xx, etc..
Gasoline prices continue to drop around here. $3.34 to $3.39 a gallon so far today. Diesel varies from $3.76 to $3.99 a gallon. - Greydog_1ExplorerSoon as pump prices stabilize nationwide, the prices will spike. Crude going up. There is evil in the works. Enjoy the honeymoon. I am. Suspicious.....
- Gale_HawkinsExplorerHigh $3.25 today. Not sure what is up. Maybe we kissed and made up with Iran and Syria.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerWhen a customer buys a product with a credit card, the processor charges him a percentage. That percentage is passed on to the customer one way or the other whether he realizes it or not. Most of us realize that. A debit card has a much lower charge back. You thinking you are the only one beating these costs, does not make it so. It can be worked into the price or charged separately like fuel. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerWhen a customer pays via a credit card, the merchant has to pay a fee, The customer always ends up paying one way or the other. There is no free lunch.
- tomman58ExplorerDrove by a gas station today ....... The credit price was $3.47, the cash price was $3.47. If this could only be a trend!
- SRTExplorerGasoline has come down another penny to $3.38 at several stations. Geeze, it's going to take forever to get where it was earlier this year.
