- cekkkExplorerDiesel prices remained stable overnight.
And of course none of the numbers in the preceding few posts are accurate without caveats.
The 2% number is bogus as many of those vehicles are operated by various government agencies and were not purchased by individuals who desired an electric vehicle. And again, letting people and corporations keep the money they earned is not welfare.
And why are all these wonderful plans for e-cars and windmills and solar power forever just around the corner, decade after decade?
The already huge number of folks on food stamps, Medicaid and disability has risen beyond reason in the past four years. Would I let them go hungry? You bet I would, unless they could actually demonstrate an inability to at least partially provide for themselves. Liberals should love that idea. We could have a whole new department filled with government employees whose job it would be to examine each welfare case. Regularly.
In my world all healthy welfare recipients would be offered the choice of getting a minimum wage job or spending 40 hours a week sweeping streets, shoveling snow, etc. Any woman receiving assistance for children would receive nothing for children born after going on assistance. Any man whose child I have to feed would also be fed by me, in canvas & wire holding pens on a Pacific territory.
These parasites are living on monies that rightfully should be spent on people and families with real needs. As it stands, if a family has a sick child or dying mother, but Dad works and earns enough to keep them out of poverty, they are out of luck. They can't get help because some some doper with seven mistreated children needs the funds to support his/her fourth trip to rehab.
Ahh, that was cathartic, even if it doesn't last long. :)
Diesel prices remained stable while this was being written. - cekkkExplorer

Too much pride and self respect to take any government handout.
I'm so disgusted with my hard earned tax dollars from decades of working and now retirement income going to wasteful pols, bums and freeloaders who have organized, to the detriment of the truly needy, and now ads to get Colorado zeros to sign up for free phones, I'm ready to apply for food stamps, phones, disability - Oh, wait. I'd have to go back to work. Forget that one. Lol!
Diesel around here is running 3.80. - rhagfoExplorer III

Bought groceries at Kroger today and had a chance to use their gas thing. Not a bad deal you by groceries from them and they reduce you gas bill by XX cents a gallon. We only saved 10 cents a gallon but their is no "credit card" mark up so it was a good thing.
Lets see 3.5 gallons ah 35 cents, Well this won't work out to be a big thing. Oh wait there is a diesel pump!!!! This could be a good thing ..... well maybe once every month or so ................... Well maybe it will be better for you.
Out West here it is Fred Meyer I have saved up to $1.00 a gallon, really nice when filling about 30 gallons! This is not every time varies from as little as $.03 up to $1.00. - tomman58ExplorerBought groceries at Kroger today and had a chance to use their gas thing. - Greydog_1ExplorerYes, things are getting reduced. My gas is reduced from 3.25 to 3.79 . Reduced by .54cents I guess. Then my health insurance reduced so I pay 10.00/mo more now than last year. My doctor reduced his fees so an office visit costs 45.00 more than previous year. Lots of reductions noted in my area. Sure hope they don't reduce my taxes for year. SO far I am impressed with Obama care and it hasn't hit yet. I get longer vacation time soon. They are going to reduce my hours so I don't have to worry about Company insurance issues.
- SRTExplorerOK, to get this back on track.....:B
Gasoline prices up here continue to go down by centimeters. 4 stations are now posting $3.55 a gallon for regular. Oil is $106.56 a barrel. Oil seems to be hovering around that price. Diesel is running $3.77 to $3.85. So price fluctuations go on and on, or I should say up, then slowly down, then up......etc..:R - LindsayRichardsExplorerSorry Dave, I got the car year of your Saturn and Honda CNG mixed up. I am familiar with the new ones, but not the old ones. Cummings/Westport is building pickups with a specially designed spark ignited NG engine. Their plant is building over the road truck 15 liter engines as fast as the can. Volvo is building 13 liter over the road truck engines. 3 companies are putting in filling stations on the East/West interstates. One is a Chinese Company (using our money probably). Pilot Flying J is putting in 550 LNG and CNG fueling stations in their units, but their recent trouble with the Feds over the discount issues might change that. I saw that Westport was building Kelvar tanks that might be a cheaper replacement for you NG car.
