RV Fuel Issues & Prices - Post 'Em Here!

3.83 per gallon for diesel in Palm Springs. Gas was around 3.45 for reg.

I paid 3.39 for Diesel today @ Kangaroo Station on I-65 ( exit 52 ) in Knoxville Al.

Gasoline prices continue their retreat millimeter by millimeter. Prices have now reached $3.03 to $3.05 with several stations a bit more. We could be at or below $3.00 a gallon by Thanksgiving. We can always hope. Geeze, there is now expensive gasoline in the motor home tank.

never really cared bout price, you only go by once sit on the couch or in the front seat of TV or RV!
To tell the truth when I pull in for a fill I look harder for the way out then the price of diesel. The only bad thing is having to send DW in if the pump doesn't take the charge!

Agreed. The effect on RVing is minimal. It has more of an effect on the daily drive which is why high mpg vehicles can make a difference to the budget. Its also why electrics and hybrids can make sense in the right situation, especially those making a 40 to 50 mile commute every day. Fuel is cheap now and it will be interesting to see the effect on the sales of this group of vehicles. Regardless, our next vehicle wont have a tail pipe.

At $3.65g for diesel thats $365 for fuel for the round trip. Overall I'll spend a couple $1000 on the entire week long trip. Say diesel dropped in 1/2. I'd save $182. Not a big enough issue to make much of a difference in the big picture. Fuel is not the biggest factor in RV'ing for us.

$2.74 here in NM CO. is much higher. I see $3.56 in Alamosa

Costco and Sams Club here in Tucson are both at $2.98. A lot of the other street stations are down to $3.05 as prices continue to inch down. :C

Gasoline prices around here seem to have stabilized at $3.08 to $3.10 a gallon. Diesel remains around 60¢ a gallon more than gasoline.

Diesel on the Ohio turnpike $3.87
PA turnpike $ 3.76
Cost to use the turnpikes....... $56.00 sucks
