RV hatch locks

Nope, not in 10 1/2 years of camping, all in public State, Federal COE campgrounds.

Nearly 30 years of RVing and we've never lost anything.
FWIW, I never lock them anyway. The damage would cost more than the replacement costs of the junk I have stored in there.

The converter was stolen out of our 5th wheel before we bought it. They didn't use a key they just pulled on the door until the latch bent.

Most of the time I don't lock these hatch doors but I have never had a problem in seven years.

Yes, but only in storage lots. People who steal don't worry about locks, they just pry the door open. The lock is only to keep honest people out.

Never lost a thing, in or out of storage.

The only time I lock ours is when traveling on the road, hopefully to keep them from popping open. Since 1974 never had anything missing. They aren't locked when in cg/parking lots etc. If they want something, please just open the door, get what amuses you, and please let my door in good condition.

Yes- lost tools and generator- in repair shop of all places.

I always replace my 751s, usually with barrel locks. crooks look for easiest prey

The first thing we do when setting up is to go around and unlock all of the hatches, and the last thing we do pulling out is to lock all of the hatches.

Storage is the only place I worry about it, but like others have said the door are so flimsy, they will break the door.

A couple months ago, had the compartments on my TT opened by the universal key -- a long screwdriver. Luckily, I was able to bend the cams back into place, so there was no damage to the compartments.

I replaced the CH751s with some locks from Amazon that had shutters, just so they were more resistant to dirt and grime. I would replace them with a a triangular or square head, just because it isn't common, and that also works for "security".
