- webslaveExplorerIf you tried over the weekend, you probably won't get them. I vaguely remember when I ordered some spare keys several years ago that they weren't open on the weekends...
I called yesterday (Monday, 10/21 at around 3 pm @ 800-837-2505) right after I opened the recall letter and checked my locks. Phone was answered on 2nd ring and 5 minutes later I had the cores and core removal key, and 5 keys in the mail. Well, promised to be in the mail Tuesday and I've always had good service from Fastec, so, I should probably have them in a few days.
Try them again and make sure it is between 8-5 pm Eastern time (they are in TN) and Monday through Friday. - Trail-MateExplorerHas anyone asked them if the new cylinders are all different that they are sending out or all the same? Just wondering if we are swapping out key sets that may have hundreds or less of different keys to one of several or just one. I have some on my Trailer and tested one lock and do not have the problem even though the key number was listed.
For anyone that has done the change, care to list you new key number. - fj12ryderExplorer IIIWe got our keys/cylinders yesterday with the enclosed return envelope. I do like that we now have both doors keyed the same: HF340. Makes you kind of wonder if they sent out lots of dupes.
- BumpyroadExplorercalled in on the 15th. still no keys.
bumpy - JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIHey quick question, were the dead bolt and door handle originally all keyed differently?
I have two keys on my ring one HF and one CF, but only one, the HF, has ever worked on the door, from the day I bought the unit.
Brings me to wonder if, depending on how long this recall has been going on, if the door wasn't already redone. - fj12ryderExplorer IIIAFAIK the recall just started last month.

my two locks take the same key and when I talked to the lady she said they were sending out two replacements. I was concerned since I didn't want to have to mess with two different keys.
bumpy - Tango__AE7UIExplorerMy key, HF323, in on the recall list.
I called the 800 number and talked to a very nice, polite women.
They are sending out a replacement cylinder, changing key, postage paid return envelope and instructions for the swap out.
They are requesting return of the old cylinder, any keys and the cylinder changing key and I should receive it in 7 - 10 days. - reddwarExplorerEver had a dead bolt break on your rig? We did. When the bead bolt breaks the spring will slam the dead bolt locked. You can't unlock your door, just glad we had two doors on that rig. There were several of us looking at it trying to get it unlocked. With the cover off & he only thing we could come up with is drill the bolt in half, had to drill real slow as it was hard steel took several bits & long time. Any way you do not want your bolt to break. as you can't get in or out the door. Our rig today only has one door & I am getting to old to go out the window.
- PauljdavExplorerMine is on the recall list as well. I did in fact lock my wife in once and she had to wait until I got back several hours later.
I put on a new lock but kept this one as a backup so I might as well get it fixed!
