RV mattress replacement

Has anyone replaced their RV mattress with a sleep number mattress? If you did are you satisfied with your decision??. My stock mattress is as hard as a rock. Hard to get a good nights rest.
  • I replaced my original mattress with a Sleep Number Radius King 18 months ago. Would I do it again, absolutely? Foam toppers aren't for me, I just don't like them.

Another advantage with the Sleep Number is that it is lighter than the original and much lighter than a good conventional mattress. Lighter is good in an RV.
  • got a sleep number bed for the MH a year ago and love it, DW keeps her side hard and I keep my side much softer. Also with the rubber bumper in between the 2 mattresses we don't feel each move around as much as before. Would get one again.
  • Our MH came equipped with a Comfort Air mattress. I would rate it somewhere between "unremarkable" and "slightly uncomfortable". Altitude changes have not been a problem for us and we've been everywhere between sea level and 10,000'. If we were not factory equipped with one, I would definitely not spend the time and effort to convert. Our next step will probably be a 2-3" foam topper.

That's us. We have a sleep number in the stick house that we love. However we are fine in the RV with the memory foam topper. I don't know if I would like the sleep number in the RV. I'm not sure how the changes in altitude would affect the bed. Also, if something went wrong with it we would be sleeping on the couch until it was fixed.
  • On our TT the mattress was terrible and you felt every spring in it. We simply put the memory foam pad we had on our home bed on it and it made a difference cd or about a year we transferred between TT and home and then we bought a memory foam mattress set for the home and left the topper in the camper. Our motorhome has a Mattress by Denver Mattress Company and it sleeps pretty well. No need for the topper.
  • I just received this bed yesterday, Comfort Air mattress

Installed it last night and loved it. Have minor issue with the way the hoses connect to the air pump, the manufacter is going to send me another pump.
  • I ordered a queen 3 inch memory foam pad from sportsmansguide.com . Good price, easy to cut for custom sizes and my lower back does not hurt any more
