RV Mattresses

Figure out what you like by going to multiple mattress shops- this is the hard part. If they don't have the measurements you need, look around and find a mom & pop mattress store that can order whatever size mattress you want. They're out there.

Sinus brand on Amazon. Great price, great memory foam mattress. Got the short queen for under $210 shipped. Liked it well enough to buy two twin mattresses after our spare bedroom remodel.

Reason for the change? If you just want to swap it because “it’s time”, and you like how it sleeps, then can you get another like it? If you want a better bed, you might try some of the online stores that offer free returns. Years ago we tried a “Bed in a Box” and it was great.

been there, done that. very hard to find stores that have short queen's in stock, yet alone even available. Several friends had updated to some of the less expensive RV mattresses with marginal success.

In our S&B house the family room has a hideabed with a air dream air over coil spring mattress. When visitors used it the commented on how good the mattress was and were amazed. So, we tried it a few times and agreed, it was very comfortable.

So..... we bought the air dream for the trailer about 8 years ago and have been very happy with it. Downsides are:

1) make sure you deflate it before you travel!!! you don't want it full then go for a change in altitude. It very well could get overinflated and spring a leak.
2) in needs 120V to pump up.... so either you need 120V, generator, or inverter.
3) there are two versions. one requires you to unzip one corner of the mattress cover to inflate/deflate. the other has a wand to inflate deflate, and of course that version is more expensive.
4) it isn't meant to be folded when inflated so we always partially deflate before getting anything from the underbed storage. Would it hurt it? don't know but don't want to find out.

If you go this route you want the queen XL, it's actually the short queen.
