RV on anniversaries?

For our 30th, took the camper on a great trip from Florida to Arizona and Utah. We had a ball; and it is what she wanted (and me as well).

RV on anniversaries?

I’m kinda getting "hammered" for not coming up with a great inclusive big dollar vacation for out 35th.

We have camped on multiple anniversaries and I’m thinking about Hilton Head (harbor–have a travel trailer) and visit Savanna....maybe Charleston (we have been there before).

Anyone spend anniversaries Rving…..is it wrong?

I'm guessing your are the DH. The one usually responsible for providing a great anniversary. :W

Just as long as YOU do all the cooking and/or take her out to dinner every night not just the Anniversary Day during your camping stay.

AND that YOU do all the set up and breakdown stuff inside the RV when ready to leave. This will be a real eye opener if you have not done it yourself!

Yup that would be a great anniversary present for the DW. Would score you a lot of points. :C

Camping on our anniversary is kind of a tradition for us. Number 45 is coming up in a couple of weeks. Quite often get snowed on in the Rockys in May. In fact our first camping trip together was our honeymoon, but that was in Florida.

We were camping in Tennessee and a trailer was delivered to the campsite beside us. They then decorated it with honeymoon well wishes. It became evident that this was the honeymoon suite. Sure enough, the evening of the wedding they arrived. They stayed there all week. In fact mom and dad arrived with their camper and setup on the site beside them.

For me (the wife) camping on our July anniversary is the perfect celebration!

Yes, Many times, also birthdays, & Easter, DW was happy with them all.
We were just discussing cruises yesterday, IF we ever did one, it would have to be an Alaskan Cruise, but when I asked did she want to do one next year, she said, "no", not really. :)

My wife suggested that for our 30th this July 20th why don't we go to Niagara Falls where we spent our honeymoon only this time take our 5th wheel so afterwards we can go to Vermont for her 50th State.
How could I refuse that? I then joined Boondockers and Harvest Hosts and after Niagara I already have us booked for the next 6 nights at 4 different places for free.

Deb, for both my wife and I also! With no exceptions!

BTW, ours is in July also - 54 years now and ready for another 54 +

Deb, of course then you have to remember that we both are in West Michigan and in the most beautiful state in the nation where camping, RVing, boating, hiking, fishing, truly enjoying the outdoors, etc, is a way of life for all ages!

I would love to spend anniversaries in the tt at a nice warm location, dh not so much.

Our problem is our anniversary is in Dec. and tt is usually frozen in the yard at that point.
