RV on anniversaries?

RV on anniversaries?

I’m kinda getting "hammered" for not coming up with a great inclusive big dollar vacation for out 35th.

We have camped on multiple anniversaries and I’m thinking about Hilton Head (harbor–have a travel trailer) and visit Savanna....maybe Charleston (we have been there before).

Anyone spend anniversaries Rving…..is it wrong?
  • ANY anniversary celebration should be mutually enjoyed by both. :) Doesn't help, does it. Seriously, if your wife wants to go somewhere special then DO IT. You can camp any other day of the year (assuming you're retired). Life is short.....enjoy the time together. Trust me, you won't regret it.
  • We're going this year on our 39th anniversary to our fav CG. Our anniversary happens to fall on sat night of our trip. So we are going to a nice restaurant located nearby. We've done just about every kind of trip on our anniversary. Right now camping works for us so we're sticking with it.
  • We will be camping on ours.... Us and 3 others for 4 nights at a country music festival, can't wait!
  • We went to Kingsland, GA for one of our anniversaries. Rode out in toad to St. Mary's, a quaint little town. Enjoyed it very much.

IMO the places you have mentioned would be very memorable....as long as DW does not to have to
Do any work around the RV. She may have more in mind a motel/hotel trip?
  • Nothing wrong about it as long as it's a mutual decision. One of our best was camping in Yellowstone, having diner at the big old hotel with harp music.
  • The area we camp in was under feet of snow March 9th, our 30th anniversary.
