RV on Fire and dog trapped inside

I don't know if this has been posted before. Sorry in advance if it has.

I'm still in shock just from watching a live feed video of it all as it is happening. Put tears in my eyes.:(

It is a 'very long' video (be patient and watch the entire video) captured on a permanent dash cam on a fellow campers MH, but it shows an RV unknowingly start to burn and what 3 fellow campers did after miraculously turning and seeing it on the dash cam to run and put out the fire and they did save the dog trapped in side.

Incredible video and lastly the pictures of the inside damage due to the fire is shocking.

JUST AMAZING. And it goes without saying just what can happen to our RV's and also the question of leaving pets alone in an RV.

KUDO's to those campers that didn't think twice about running to try and put out the fire of a fellow RV'ers coach and try and save the dog they knew was inside. :C

  • These people did a great job of reacting, and notifying the FD ! When I see these acts by people reacting to an emergency situation, it re-enforces why it is so important to keep yourselves in "decent" physical shape. Maintaining some type of strength and cardio training not only is is good for us, it allows for the assistance of others in time of need!

Very good to see the actions of these fine folks allowed for the saving of the K-9!
  • There are some folks in the media who get labeled "heroes" - and I just scratch my head. Meanwhile, TRUE heroes like the folks who fought this fire, made sure the fire department found them?? Standing ovation! THESE are heroes (especially to that poor dog!)
  • We always have pets in the fifth wheel.

How about the stick home, should I box up the three cats and load up the two dogs in the middle of the summer when i leave?

Above is my defense for having pets in an unoccupied RV.

Anyhow we never lock the RV if it has critters in it. A chance we take for the animals that are a part of the family.
  • Save my pet sign to me, means at any cost! Bust the window, crow bar the door, what ever. I lock my RV, and wouldn't care what you did trying to save my dog. I wonder if the recall fix were done on his fridge?
  • If my Collies are in the RV I never lock the door. What good does a sign do if they can't get to it.

Glad the people chose to get involved, it would have had a different outcome had they not.

I guess what really makes my blood boil is how long they have been making these defective refrigerators.
