Due to my experience with full hookups, I'm finding it hard to believe there was any smell. How many people can honestly say that they can smell bad odors when dumping at a full hookup site? I never have.
If the connection was that close to the OP's patio, then his problem most likely has to do with the act of dumping water and the smell part was added in to infuriate others, who in typical RV.net fashion, snarled and bared teeth.
And again - if the guy was that close, a simple conversation/question would have solved the problem instantly. I'm giving the guy the benefit of the doubt - maybe you should as well.
If that makes me not worthy of camping next to you, then feel free to get resolution from ranting about me on an internet forum.
Agreed I won't dispute that there may have been a smell but the entire story is very petty. If that is the worst thing that happened on your trip your doing great.
If the dumping episode ruined your time shame on you. There are so many real issues to be concerned with than someone dumped there tanks while I was at the table as though the neighbor should be on your schedule or catering to your activities.
Maybe if the hose burst or created a mess at your site you'd have a legit complaint. But just the fact that you saw him dump and you smelled it is an issue.
Is this your first rodeo? Campers dump there RV's when they need to. Seldom do they coordinate with their neighbors schedule/activities.
I have never checked to see what my neighbor is doing before dumping and I don't expect my neighbor to coordinate with me.
Get over it it's a FHU CG campers may dump at anytime and they do.
