I have a Amana residential with icemaker in my fiver and love it however there are limitations that need to be looked at so,,,
Pros;
-costs, if it crapps out it's cheaper/easier to replace than an rv fridge.
-they have more interior space/bigger freezers.
-the icemaker is simply a must, #3.50 for a bag of ice, please,,,
-they simply work better.
Cons;
-they aren't great for off-roading/boondocking as they use a lot of energy.
In our situation we go from our lot in Ontario to our lot in Florida with the occasional trip in the summer, I have a bank of four 6V deep cycle golf-cart batteries which give me a lot of juice for in-transit travelling also I have a Honda 3000 genny for overnighting. As far as the installation goes Cedar Creek only mounted two small wood blocks in front of the front wheels and that has done the job well as long as we have had the fiver' however I don't drive like a lunatic so someone going into rough terrain might have issues.
Red Green: "Vegetarian" is an old Indian word
meaning "I don't hunt so good."
