We have the Splendide Ariston set. We have been full time for 2 1/2 years. I did the math & it has more than paid for itself.
The washer holds a lot more than you think it will. A typical load for us will be queen sheets, several golf shirts & shorts, plus underwear. A load of towels will have 4 bath sheets, a couple of hand towels & his dark socks.
The limiting factor for load size is the dryer. If you look at a the drum size of the separate units, the dryer is ~2x the capacity of the washer, so the clothes can tumble while drying. Also residential dryers are 220 while RV dryers are 110, so it takes longer to dry clothes.
It does come down to personal preference. I hate sitting in a laundromat for several hours. I can be off playing pickle ball or swimming or biking or walking the dog while the machine is doing it's thing.
