I get what you're asking, but a colored wax might stick in the nooks and crannies, leaving color behind. I think that's the intent of Turtle wax's colored products, making a red car appear a little rejuvenated by using red wax. That's not to say it wouldn't work for your purpose on a clean, smooth, scratch-free surface. I guess it'd be worth a test spot.
