Rv wholesalers lakeview

Anyone here purchase from rv wholesalers? I purchased a puma destination trailer on december 20th. The trailer was suppose to be on there holding lot and they were gonna prep it and deliver to me. I signed the paperwork and they did the credit check and gave me my interest rate for the loan that they make you get if you want the discount. Now, according to the emails from my salesperson, there was a mix up and the trailer that they sold me was cancelled, they don’t have it but they have a similar one ordered that they will put my name on and moved the deposit over. No one ever communicated first or asked if this was okay with me. Instead of January it will be March. It’s not even built yet. I told I didn’t like the couch in the unit and it’s not what I would have ordered had I placed my own custom order from the beginning and for the mistake they will “upgrade the sofa at no charge” but I don’t want to wait untill March for a trailer. As an “act of goodwill” they will let me move the deposit to another trailer they have available but I don’t want anything they have in stock. I want the trailer I bought to begin with and they don’t have it and every single person who has responded has tried to double talk me yet no one has offered to refund my deposit or apologize for running my credit and opening a loan on a trailer that was not available to sell. I’m so upset. I read all there reviews before my purchase and thought they would be safe to do business with but after how this whole thing has been handled I am scared and they are holding my deposit hostage even though it’s their fault they don’t have the trailer they sold me. I don’t know what to do. The communication is terrible and the message I got from the finance manager was really rude and hostile. I know people have had good experiences here that’s why I trusted them but as you can see my experience was not a positive one

  • does it say the one you ordered can still be had just not as fast as you want?  if so and your willing to wait then all is good, if not or your not willing to wait demand your deposit back

  • Simple, as Scottiemom says, you put a deposit on a trailer they don't have. Therefore, you have no contract. Any RV contract will have the VIN.  Demand your deposit back and go to a real dealer and buy a TT you can actually put your hands on. If they balk at your deposit refund call the State attorney's general. I had to do that several years ago with a CW dealership who tried to pull the same thing. They know they are wrong, when pressed with it legally they'll concede.

  • I would say if they cannot deliver on your original contract, you don't have a contract. I would ask for my money back and go elsewhere. If they refuse, I would retain a lawyer or take it to small claims court.
