Why in the he!! would this bother a rational individual. He has to be at least 5 to 6 feet away from you. Would 20 to 30 feet be more acceptable. Tractor trailers park about 5 to 6 feet away from eack other for common courtesy on large areas.:?
:h where is the beef here?
DITTOS!
Look, when you are
CAMPING and want to be alone, I totally get it.
But when you are
PARKING, you are going to screw up a lot of real estate! So, instead of the second camper going way far away to screw up more real estate, he figures his miniminzing your guys collective footprint
AND BEING THOUGHTFUL TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
I too have observed this behavior from professional truck drivers....One semi messes up some rows of parking spaces, so the second semi goes in next to him and keeps the "mess" confined.
And, as someone says, he didn't get all that close to you.
Now Should he have pulled up closely behind you, (or pulled ahead and backed up closer to you)....I dunno- maybe so. The side by side seems a little funny, but I don't want to hear about him being "next to you" in general.
But when you are stopped for lunch or gas, and someone want's to park in association, they're probably being thoughful to world, and you should not object (were you planning to put your slides out or something?).
As to camping in the great outdoors....yeah, we need to continue to work on that herd mentality (which, by the way, could be a genuine, deeply-ingrained, helpful survival instict developed from a long, violent history of the species)
